Happy Friday...Aren't short weeks fun?

So, do I need to remind you where you should be with all of this stuff??? Resumes should be posted. I'm going to be checking in with groups today to make sure you are all working on something. Otherwise, you should be working toward getting your sites perfect (only 12 days left.)

Good Morning...Today we're going to go over creating a resume. Pretty simple, really, but you need to make the page fit with your site. Here are the sections of your resume: Life Objective, Education, Awards/Achievements, Work Experience, Activities, Interests. You should do your resume in Word first so that you can easily proofread it, then post it to your weblog. These should be posted by the end of class so I can review them this evening. Here is a pretty good example from last quarter's class.

Happy New Year! Hope you all had a great break and are rested up for the final three weeks or so of class. We have a lot to accomplish so I'm going to try to stay out of your way as much as possible and give you the individual attention you need.

Here's where you should be: With your own website, you should be well on your way to having it all organized and designed. You should be in the content-adding stage. Save the last week for editing and fixing potential problems. Let me remind you that your home page should be named "index.html" and that all the files you are using in your sites need to be in the same subfolder. If you want to test your site for workability, let me know. Any of you that had problems with what we put up just before break ought to talk to me right away.

With mentors...if you don't have one by now, you need to see me today. You should in your weblogs have: the initial contact e-mail you sent, the e-mail asking for background on your mentor, and the e-mail asking for feedback on your site. Any responses you get should also be posted to your logs as well.

With clients...you should all of had your initial meeting, and you should be in the design stages. Please make sure that if you haven't gotten the content for the sites yet that you make requests this week.

I have a feeling that many of you are not quite where you should be with all of this. PLEASE let me know today if you are falling behind so we can work on getting you caught up.

By the way, you may skip this week's website review unless you want to do one for extra credit or to make up for one that you have missed previously. Please make sure you label it as such in your logs.

Site O' The Day: So You Wanna is a cool site using tables that gives you all sorts of hints on how to do stuff, like avoid getting a traffic ticket.
